As bits that won't be utilized get removed from the bike, I've been posting them on eBay and Craigslist. At this point the money coming in from the sales has almost equaled what the bike was purchased for.
I took apart the forks to clean and polish. These forks have a stamp that indicates date of manufacture on the inside bottom leg. These were made September 1966: After cleaning and polishing, I also repainted the black dust sleeves in bright silver with black trim. After installing back on the frame they will be filled with fresh 20-weight fork oil.
Got a killer deal on a pair of new Hagon shocks, however I think I'm going to put these on my bike that is currently running, and the shocks on that bike will go on the project bike.
